By way of background, the Office advises on legal matters referred by the Cabinet, the President or Ministers. The Office is also responsible for instituting, conducting or discontinuing any proceedings for an offense alleged to have been committed, and foreseeing to it that the laws are faithfully executed. Our attorneys also serve on a number of important task forces such as those on human trafficking and deportees.

Immigration and Division of Labor. Both Divisions are accountable and report to the Attorney-
